A Memorable AGC-PR Convention for DDD Group

DDD Group joined colleagues, suppliers, and construction industry leaders at the 52nd Annual Convention & Expo Construcción of the Associated General Contractors of America, Puerto Rico Chapter (AGC-PR), held September 9 through 13 at El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo.

The annual convention brings together professionals from across Puerto Rico’s construction industry for educational sessions, exhibits, industry recognition, and opportunities to connect with others in the field. This year’s convention was held under the theme, “Construyendo Legado, Con Destreza, Integridad y Responsabilidad.” Throughout the weekend, members of the DDD team participated in talks and spent time with colleagues and suppliers. The construction exhibition was also an opportunity to learn about new materials, meet potential suppliers, and explore equipment that could support DDD’s work and future projects.

DDD was also pleased to spend time with AGC of America President Rick Andritsch and his wife, Stacie, who joined the convention activities in Puerto Rico.

A Proud Weekend for the DDD Team

The convention became especially meaningful as four members of the DDD Group team were recognized through AGC-PR’s 2026 awards program. Daniel Díaz, Emmanuel Kuilan, and Steven Tirado received the Premio Jacinto Galib, an award presented to outstanding workers in the construction industry. Kelvin Roque received the Premio Superintendente de Proyecto, recognizing another milestone in a career that has continued to grow within DDD Group.

Kelvin’s history with the company makes the recognition particularly special. His father, José Roque, who has worked with DDD for years, originally approached company leadership about an opportunity for his son to develop a career in construction. Kelvin joined DDD as a Safety Officer and soon demonstrated an interest in continuing to grow within the industry. DDD later provided him with a scholarship to further his education in architecture while working full-time with the company.

His wife, Krystal, also a member of the DDD team, and their new baby were there to celebrate this latest accomplishment with him. Kelvin’s journey has been featured previously as an example of DDD’s commitment to investing in its people and creating opportunities for professional growth.

A Special Tribute to Humberto Reynolds

The weekend also carried personal significance for DDD Group President Umberto Donato. During the Pre-Gala, Umberto delivered a message honoring his friend, mentor, and business partner, Humberto Reynolds, recipient of the Alejandro S. Herrero Award, AGC-PR’s highest industry honor.

“Being able to recognize Humberto, my friend, mentor and business partner, on such an important evening was very meaningful to me. Beyond everything we have accomplished together professionally, I value the friendship and trust we have built over the years. Seeing him receive the Alejandro S. Herrero Award was a proud moment, and one I was grateful to share with our colleagues and friends in the industry. I also want to congratulate Kelvin on his well deserved recognition and thank our entire DDD team for representing the company throughout the convention. Weekends like this remind us how important the people behind our industry truly are.”

Team DDD, On and Off the Field

The convention also allowed the team to enjoy time together outside of work. For Saturday evening’s sports-themed celebration, DDD arrived as the DDD Soccer Team. The theme was fitting for a company where each person has a role, and the team depends on one another to keep every project moving toward the same goal.

DDD Group thanks AGC-PR for another memorable convention and the opportunity to share it with colleagues, suppliers, and friends from Puerto Rico’s construction industry. We congratulate Daniel Díaz, Emmanuel Kuilan, Steven Tirado, Kelvin Roque, and Humberto Reynolds on their recognitions and look forward to carrying the experience and connections from this year’s convention forward.
