Project Overview

  • Low-income residential development of 316 housing units

  • Phase II of a 500 unit planned development

DDD provided Pre-Construction and CMa (Construction Managers as Advisor) services for the site preparation, off site activities and house construction required for phase II of the Borinquen Valley Housing project. The development consisted of 316 one floor, cast-in place concrete single dwelling units for Low Income families. The project required extensive earthwork, resulting in a cut and fill operation of approximately 1,000,000 cubic meters. Challenging unforeseen subsoil conditions were encountered during construction requiring the use of explosives for rock blasting. DDD managed the construction of all site and off-site activities including but not limited to site electrical, storm sewer, waste water, telecommunications and road work.
