SUCHVILLE RESIDENCE

Project Overview

• Luxury 3-story residence located in Suchville, an old residential community complex composed of different architectural styles such as: French Tudor, British Colonial and Spanish Revival, among other.

• The conceptual design considered: location, architectural styles of surrounding homes, technological innovations, an extensive program.

• Experimental delivery process became a key service.

• Interior and exterior technological design features include: a fully automated control system for the entire property, including: lighting, HVAC, pool and common spaces.

• Implementation of energy saving strategies such as: low energy consumption lighting, gas fueled equipment,  a high R-value insulated building enclosure to minimize heat gain and a tri-phase dual chiller cooling system, among other.

•  Programmatic requirements of the residence demanded the demolition of an old structure in order to maximize the use of the site.

• Complying with the Owner’s request, this residence approached the romantic idea of the “modern machine”, comparable with the transitional period between Neo-classic and Modern Architecture, where all technological systems were hidden behind classical ornaments.
