Pre-engineered metal building for the Land Rover dealer located in San Juan, PR.

Car dealership built to Land Rover design guidelines.
DDD provided design-build services for the construction of the only Land Rover dealership in Puerto Rico. Due to unsuitable subsoil conditions, soil replacement was required in order to achieve the required bearing capacities. The building consisted of a two-story structural steel structure, which included showroom and maintenance facilities for Land rover vehicles. Although strict guidelines did not permit the use of innovative technologies, local materials were used in order to lower costs while complying with the manufacturer’s guidelines. All design/build modifications were intended to shorten time of delivery. Materials were analyzed and substituted for locally available alternates that minimized cost impacts.
