DDD Group, as part of the DDD-DVG Joint Venture LLC, under took a comprehensive project to repair several federal highways in Puerto Rico, addressing the extensive damage caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The project spans multiple locations, including PR-14 (Km 54.3-54.4), PR-722 (Km 5.7), PR-796 (Km 4.4), PR-179 (Km 13.25), and PR-181 (Kms 8.7 and 46.4), across the municipalities of Aibonito, Caguas, Guayama, Gurabo, and Patillas.

The scope of work includes a wide range of tasks aimed at restoring and enhancing the infrastructure. This includes embankment reconstruction to ensure long-term stability and the construction of reinforced soil slope systems to prevent future erosion and landslides. Additionally, the project involves the installation of advanced drainage systems to manage water flow and reduce flood risks. Concrete retaining walls, along with sheet pile and soldier pile retaining walls, are being constructed to provide robust support and protection for the roadways.

The project also encompasses milling and overlay procedures to replace the top layer of pavement, ensuring smooth and safe driving surfaces. Comprehensive pavement reconstruction is being undertaken to restore damaged sections, while new pavement markings are being applied for improved traffic management and safety. The removal and replacement of guardrails are being carried out to meet current safety standards, and new road signage is being installed to better guide and inform drivers. Temporary traffic control measures are in place to manage traffic flow safely during construction, and other miscellaneous tasks are being addressed to complete the project effectively.
