DDD Group Celebrates a Successful 2024: Building on Partnerships and Paving the Way for the Future

DDD Group is pleased to reflect on a successful 2024 marked by significant project milestones, unwavering commitment to industry advancement, and a continued focus on developing future construction professionals.

Leading Industry Initiatives

President Humberto Donato continued his active involvement with the Associated General Contractors of Puerto Rico (AGC-PR), serving as Secretary and consistently advocating for the interests of the entire construction industry. A key highlight was the announcement by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) of over $1 billion in contracts for critical infrastructure projects in Puerto Rico. As a member of the AGC-PR panel, Humberto played a vital role in ensuring the association’s members were among the first to learn about these significant opportunities.

At the AGC-PR Annual Convention, he presented prestigious awards to industry leaders, including Design-Build LLC, Bird Group, LLC, and Bonneville Construction. Notably, DDD Group was honored to present the Jacinto Galib Award to Raúl Torres Torres, a valued member of the DDD Group family.

Celebrating Women in Construction

During AGC-PR’s Women in Construction Week, DDD Group proudly recognized the exceptional contributions of Alexandra Wirshing, Director of Design, and Nicole Santiago, Job Captain, highlighting their dedication and achievements within the industry.

Investing in the Future

2024 was a banner year for the DDD Scholarship program, exemplifying our commitment to supporting our employees’ personal and professional development. Our most recent recipient, Kelvin Roque, son of dedicated DDD laborer Jose “Uti” Roque, is excelling in pursuing an architecture career. We are honored to be part of his future legacy.

Furthermore, Emmanuel Kuilan, Janiliz Rivera, and Jonathan Martínez will be the first team members to participate in the Workforce Development initiative launching in 2025. This program is designed to enhance their skills and expertise in various construction areas.

Beyond professional development, DDD implemented the “Culture of Care” pledge in 2024, reaffirming our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for all employees. Meylin Donato’s return as Head of HR brought renewed energy to our employee well-being initiatives, including regular coffee breaks, relaxing massage events, and impactful community outreach programs.

Looking Ahead

As 2024 comes to a close, DDD Group looks forward to a future filled with continued success, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to building a better future for Puerto Rico.
