09 Oct Connecting with the Next Generation of Puerto Rico’s Construction Industry

DDD Group recently participated in the AGC-UPRM Engineering Job Expo in Mayagüez, connecting directly with engineering students preparing to take their next steps into the professional world.

For DDD, participating in events like this is part of a commitment that has developed over many years. The firm has maintained a close relationship with Puerto Rico’s construction industry while supporting opportunities that introduce students and emerging professionals to the careers available within it. DDD has previously worked with the AGC student chapter at UPR Mayagüez and has continued supporting workforce development through industry programs and initiatives.

That involvement has taken different forms over the years, including internships, interaction with university students, apprenticeship initiatives and participation in broader conversations about developing Puerto Rico’s construction workforce.

The AGC-UPRM Engineering Job Expo offered another opportunity to bring those efforts directly to students. Members of the DDD team were able to speak with future engineers about the industry and the professional opportunities available as they begin their careers.

For a company working across architecture, construction, design-build and construction management, developing the next generation of professionals also supports the future of the industry DDD serves.
