After years of shaping Puerto Rico’s built environment through architecture, construction, and design, DDD Group is now taking on a project that reflects who we are at our core — the transformation of our own headquarters.

This ongoing renovation showcases one of DDD Group’s core professional services: Interior Architecture. Led by our design team and supported by Director of Design and A/E Project Manager, Alexandra Wirshing, the remodel captures how thoughtful design can enhance both functionality and experience. For Alexandra, interior architecture is not just about aesthetics; it is about crafting spaces that inspire productivity, comfort, and connection.

A Space Designed for Collaboration and Wellbeing

The remodel began roughly eight months ago and has been completed in stages, allowing the team to continue working while reimagining the space around them. Each phase was carefully planned to make the office more open, flexible, and welcoming, reflecting the same principles DDD applies to client projects: purposeful design that serves people and performance.

Among the most significant transformations:

Open Office: The workspace was redesigned to encourage communication and natural light. Lower partitions replaced tall cubicles, allowing better visual connection and an overall sense of openness. Materials were reused wherever possible, with new finishes in light wood that add warmth and continuity throughout the space.

Collaboration Area: The large central table, a key element of DDD’s daily workflow, was reimagined as a place for shared creativity where drawings, finishes, and ideas come together.

Lunch Room: A new, larger lunch area provides a comfortable environment where employees can take a break, connect, and recharge. This space was intentionally designed to foster a sense of community within the team.

Lobby and Private Offices: The upcoming new lobby design will open up the space visually through a glass storefront, while HR, Accounting, and field engineering areas now feature improved layouts that enhance privacy, organization, and functionality.

A Work in Progress

While still evolving, the office already demonstrates the power of interior design to transform how a space feels and functions. Once new finishes and flooring are installed, the environment will fully reflect DDD’s vision, a place where collaboration, efficiency, and creativity thrive side by side.

This remodel is more than an upgrade. It is a living example of how DDD Group approaches every project: with intention, innovation, and a focus on people.
